Romulus is really stubborn, you know?
I went to the maternit� and the little guy is not making it seem like he's even thinking of saying hello anytime soon. Goodness. I have been having very mild and mellow contractions for days, my parents and I have covered the entire city on foot, and still -- NADA.
They tested my amniotic fluid and the levels are a little lower than they would like them to be, so if nothing happens between now and Tuesday, I iwll most likely be induced. I know all of the tricks and old wive's tales concerning ways to bring on the labor, some of which I'm willing to test and others not so much. Regardless, I haven't got much time.
Thanks to everybody who has been emailing/calling/whatevering. Hopefully I'll have more exciting news soon!

by the way, is Romulus what you're really naming him, or is it just his internet pseudonym?

My sister-in-law is in exactly the same predicament as you right now with her little guy, so you're not alone! The pedicure didn't work for her, either. A good shot of pitocin will certainly do the trick, though hopefully you won't need it!

oh boy do i remember being in your predicament. it's so frustrating that you think you are ready, but why isn't the baby? waiting gives one too much time to think. and yet when they finally tell you at the maternit� that they want you to stay and that you aren't leaving again unless it's with your baby...wow, i still remember the elctric shock kind of feeling that surged through my body.
