Discovered this morning: four little stretch marks on the underside of my belly. And I was beginning to think I would escape unscathed!

Hello. I stumbled upon your site about a year ago and have been reading it ever since. I was living in Morocco, got pregnant and gestated a bit, then came home to the US to have my baby. I wish there was some way I could send you all the (brand-new) baby clothes that our son has grown out of so quickly.
I just want to say -- I wish all the best for you and your new baby. Prepare to fall in love harder than you ever imagined.

The other one to watch out for is your boobs- they get so big right around the birth and then are up and down for a few weeks. I had been really good about using lotions, but how do you do that when you are breastfeeding? A few little marks is a small price to pay, I know I know. But still. Wah.

I think my stomache exploded into stretchmarks in my last week of pregnancy with my second kid. Dammit.
That being said, I thank heavens I'm a white girl. I pity some black women and their white stretchmarks. Poor things.
Oh Jennifer, don't say that! You're scaring me!
once they sort out your health cover, the quirky French health system may actually provide something to help - it sounds like the sort of thing they may feel is important - which it is!
Oh my god, I remember being so happy that I didn't have any stretch marks on my belly (even the midwife commented on how rare it was) and then my boyfriend pointed out (while hiding behind the couch) that he had noticed some on my butt. I discovered a whole bunch of them and promptly cried.
