Ouch...Weekend...Hurt

We celebrated the anniversary of American independence by doing a lot of sporty activities. I went running in 85% humidity in 90 degree weather (always fun), but the athletics couldn't stop there. Dad and I set up a badminton net at 7.30 am - taking well over an hour to do it (don't ask). So badminton happened. As did intertubing on the boat, swimming in the lake, and extensive amounts of Trivial Pursuit.

In the end, a good, wholesome 4th of July with a lot of apple juice.

As I drove my brother and sister-in-law to the airport this morning, a whimper came from the backseat as Gail said, 'My muscles are all sore. We were so sporty all weekend.'

I said, 'Yeah, that's when you know you're out of shape. When you're sore after a weekend at your parents' house.'

Do french or USA keyboards have the whole QWERTY deal, or is that just a uk thing?

I know that English keyboards are @ sign is where the ' key is there (lots of fun when addressing emails, let me tell you), and I think either France or England has AZERTY. Really annoying. The US is definitely QWERTY (trivial knowledge alert: this was because when the first typewriters were produced, with the big metal rods that slammed the paper, they got jammed if they keys were in alpha order, so they mixed up the order so that the most common keys were all spaced about...)

yep, correct about the ' @ thing.
England has QWERTY, trust me, i'm sitting at an english keyboard, in England :P

That's right--I used to test for a software company, and they had it set up for French computers, but didn't have a "French" keyboard, so I remember I had serious problems with the keyboard. It was only through trial and error that I realized it was supposed to be AZERTY.

I got that confused with the keyboards when I was in England. I think the only change between UK/US keyboards was the @ sign.

The French use a lot more Qs than we do, and hardly any Ws. The weird thing is that you have to push *shift* to do numbers!
