How many ounces in a gallon?

I don't know...everybody keeps coming by my site looking for that, so apparently you're not the only one wanting to know. I have this voice in my head saying it is 16, but I'm not sure. I'm horrible, awful, bad with measurements.

Christopher - I think I am more just curious why everybody is so interested in how many ounces are in a gallon. I figured my site had to be pretty high up on a google search to get this many people swinging by.

I wanted to know how many ounces are in a gallon of water because I was told to drink 64 ounces of water a day. when your pregnant thats how much the doctor tells you to drink, I drink a 1/2 gallon of water a day I just wanted to make sure I was drinking the right amount. thanks for haveing this on your site.

Google searched, i was wondering how many ounces were in a 750ml bottle of vodka so i know how much to charge my mooching friends per shot ;)
I found that one litre is .24 gallons or something similar to that and 3/4 of what ever the proper amount of a litre to gallon is is exactly well shit i vlosed the calculator so not exactly but around .19 and when i multiplyed that by 128 i only got 25.5
which means there are only 8 shots in a bottle of vodka? i sure as hell hope not becuase otherwise a my bottle of belvedere is REALLY REALLY expensive ;)

oh, and I like powered gatorade too and I use 6 scoops in a gallon (instead of the suggested 4)...fyi

Googled. A keg is 15 gallons. I wanted to know how many beers a keg replaces. Some other site said it filled 140 "red" cups and had enough alchol to put 41 people over the legal limit. Answer is 160 12oz bottles in a full sized keg. Or 27 beers in a baby 1/6th keg.

I have a 16 oz cup instead of my half gallon that I normally bring to work (messed me all up) So I am trying not to slack on my water. I sure have to go back and forth many times for fillup. Thanks for the handy info. (found you on google also.)

In my experience the guys usually consume about an average of 72oz and girls about about 55oz or somewhere around that margin. I had a party last week that only made it about 5 hours on a keg...and 25 people drinking on it.

It depends on the liquid. 128 OZ of water is more than 128 Oz of beer I couldn't drink 128 oz of water unless I had a beer chaser. Water is important though because it is a vital ingredient in beer.

1 shot is = to 1ounce, in a 750ml bottle of vodka there are 25.4 ounces which makes 24 shots of vodka. where i live that sized bottle of smirnof cost abut $12 so if you charge $1 per shot you'll make a $13.40 profit enabling you to buy another bottle and a $1.40 worth of candybar or something which sucks, if you charge $2 however you will make $50.80, $3/shot = $76.20 which is the optimum profit to cost ratio benificial to both vendor and consumer.....im doing the same thing when i bartend at parties, $2 for friends and 3$ for everyone i know and i only know the bouncers so its mostly major profit, however.....:::
